Sue Englefield - Pre-school Practitioner

My name is Sue Englefield and I have been a member of the ‘Little Acorns’ team as a Pre-school Practitioner since January 2017. I am a fully qualified English Teacher for Key Stages 3 & 4 having graduated from Kingston University with a BA (Hons) in 1995 followed by my PGCE at Roehampton Institute in 1996. I worked in the same London comprehensive for 20 years undertaking responsibilities as Head of Year, Head of Department and, for the last 4 years, as whole school Lead Practitioner for SEN students until I retired and made the move to Eversley in August 2016. I also have a post-graduate certificate for teaching Shakespeare in the English classroom which I studied with Warwick University and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Before becoming a teacher, I was training to be a Building Society manager for the Abbey National (now Santander). I have two children, Matthew and Kayley, and, so far, two grandchildren, Daniel and Joseph.  My favourite pastime is spending time with my family – I love cooking for them and having family get-togethers.  In my free time, I like to paint and draw, I love travelling, and I enjoy gardening and the outdoors.
