Policies and procedures

The pre-school's policies help us to make sure that the service provided by the Pre-school is a high quality one and that being a member of the Pre-school is an enjoyable and beneficial experience for each child and her/his parents.

Staff work together to adopt the policies and procedures. These are reviewed on an annual basis or amended as changes occur. Parents are required to read the policies and procedures when they join the pre-school and any updates that are made. Parents have the opportunity to make comments regarding these and feedback/ideas are always welcomed and do sometimes lead to policy reviews. The reviews help us to make sure that the policies are enabling the pre-school to provide a quality service for its members and the local community. The following policies are in place: Admissions, Achieving Positive Behaviour, Safeguarding Children and Child Protection, Complaints, Curriculum and record keeping, Selecting toys and equipment, Equal opportunities, Health and Safety, Sun Safety, Parental Involvement, Staffing and employment, Student placement, Play Policy, Special needs, Allegation of child abuse against a staff member, Settling in,  Confidentiality , Food and drink .

The following procedures are in place; Lost child, Emergency evacuation/closure, Fire, Child or adult suffering injury, Non- collection of a child, Children leaving pre-school.

Copies of all our policies and procedures can be found in the setting and on our closed Facebook page for our current parents only.
